Open lecture by Professor Bernhard Funk from THM University

We are pleased to invite you to an open lecture by Professor Dr. Bernhard Funk from THM University, which will take place on 29 May at 9:45 a.m. in Room B-22 at the Faculty of Management, University of Gdańsk.

The lecture is entitled:

“Data Center Development: Insights into the development boom for data centers by examples of development trends in the greater Frankfurt Metro Area”

Professor Bernhard Funk is Professor of Real Estate Management at THM University, at the Friedberg/Hessen campus near Frankfurt am Main. He teaches in Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Real Estate and Facility Management. His main research interests include international real estate markets, real estate investment, indirect investment vehicles and real estate development.

During the lecture, Professor Funk will present key figures illustrating the rapid growth of the data center sector, which is of particular relevance to the financial industry. The presentation will also discuss examples from the greater Frankfurt metropolitan area, showing both the scale of the current development boom and the physical and spatial limitations affecting further growth of data center infrastructure.

Professor Funk’s visit, together with a group of students, takes place as part of the Erasmus+ cooperation between the University of Gdańsk and THM University.
